Motorcycling in Northumberland

Picturesque Northumberland, situated next to the Scottish Borders and Cumbria, hosts many areas and places which are easily accessible and enjoyable to see by motorcycle.

Northumberland is home to more Castles than any other British County;

Alnwick
Bamburgh
Lindisfarne
Warkworth
Chillingham

are home to just some of these.

If history is your thing, you have so much to choose from including;

Hadrians Wall
The Brigantium Archeaology Centre near Otterburn,
remains of a roman site in Corbridge
Housesteads Roman Fort

to name but a few attractions.

If your looking for somewhere picturesque, try Keidler.
Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in Europe, situated within Keidler Forest. With several picnic areas and visitor areas en-route you can stop reguarly for cups of tea.

If its just the ride you are after, you could do worse than take the Northumberland Coastal Route, a well signposted 35 mile scenic route along the Northumberland Coast. Stop off at Seahouses along the way for fish and chips like everyone else does!
